From Left to Right: Attorney Colby Vokey, Renee Myers, Lt. Jason Tinelle, Craig Myers, and supporter Cindy Maguire

Derrick wanted me to to convey his deepest heartfelt thanks to everyone who sent a card, a letter (or both 😊) to him over the Christmas holiday. He's still dilligently working through them to respond to the many kind folks who reached out to him, and was humbled by the outpouring of support. I also send my love and gratitude as well. You are all AWESOME!

As many of you know, in less than 48 hours we will walk into chambers for a special hearing of the Army Clemency and Parole Board on April 5th. This is a moment we have fought long and hard for. It represents almost 7 years of effort and expectation, promises and disappointments. It is the culmination of many voices coming together to cry out for justice, and we could never have gotten here without the wonderful, steadfast support of people like you. I have been on a rollercoaster of a million different emotions, but the one I wanted to be sure to express is GRATITUDE. I don't even have the words to express how much it means to our family to have you all fighting by our side. Dave Grange , thank you for carrying the baton for me when I was too overcome to get the word out myself. As the hour draws near for us to have this chance to advocate for Derrick once more, I want to ask your prayers for courage and clarity to win the day. No matter the decision, we will be sure to share the news when we have it - hopefully with the outcome we've been fighting for, which is for him to come home to us. Good night, and God bless.

We had to rebuild this site due to some previous technical difficulties, and as a result lost a lot of our original content. We will continue to restore the historical data as we are able, however if you want to read more about our fight to bring Derrick home, check out our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/freederrickmiller.

Derrick's clemency hearing went extremely well...now we wait for the decision. As soon as we know something, we will be sure to share it with you. In the meantime, I wanted to take a moment to say an extra special thank you to Congressman Louie Gohmert for attending the proceedings today and once again going to bat for Derrick (he had to catch a flight, so he was in the air when this photo was taken). I also want to give a heartfelt thanks to Jason Tinelle for coming so far to stand by our side. As always, we are humbled and deeply grateful for the amazing work of The Law Firm of Colby C. Vokey for his incredible presentation today. Finally, I have to express my appreciation and love for Cindy Maguire for coming out to show her unwavering support to our family today. I am emotionally spent right now, but very hopeful.

As many of you know, we do our best to visit Derrick as often as we can to spend time with him keep his spirits up, and ours as well. These visits are also a way to let Derrick know that he is loved, appreciated, and that his service and sacrifice will not ever be forgotten. Our family fund-raises quite often to help defray the cost of travel, as well as sending morale boosters in the form of cards to him, and necessary items for his two little girls. One of the ways we do this is by offering t-shirts for sale. They are available in three colors - black, red and royal blue. The cost per shirt is $15.00 + $5.00 shipping. Please message us if interested, or order by clicking the link below.
Funds raised will go to Derrick's family for travel expenses for visits to Derrick while he sits incarcerated at Ft. Leavenworth KS, necessary purchases for his children, and to help his parents recover from the enormous financial drain of the initial costs for his legal defense.
Our t-shirt fundraiser is now live! You can order your shirt in royal blue, red or black at:
